One of PEC`s missions

One of PEC’s missions is to collaborate with industry partners to establish PEC as a centre of excellence. I would like to highlight two recent examples of this type of collaboration.
PEC is currently applying for a special authorization from BICSI. What we seek is to become an Authorized Training Facility for BICSI. As a result, our students in the Telecom Program will receive additional credentials upon graduation. Secondly, PEC will be in a position to train individuals from the industry, looking for more credentials in the areas of fiber and copper installation.
The other collaboration comes in the form of a donation and presentation from Gentec. This home grown Quebec company specializes in developing innovative solutions for energy management and lighting control. Mr. Ashley Watson from Gentec and Mr. Vasco Apostolov, one of our teachers, used this lighting control panel to illustrate aspects of the Lighting Module in the Electricity program. Needless to say, this piece of equipment will go a long way in deepening the understanding of certain concepts, and will remain a valuable learning tool for current and future students.
