At the end of August 2009 a delegation of teachers and administrators from Beijing visited the Lester B. Pearson School Board on a fact finding mission. We were pleased to welcome the participants here at PEC on one of their stops. We were also delighted to have a student from the BN Vocational School from Beijing attend classes in the Electricity Program for three weeks.

Congratulations to our very own Nancy Crevier, winner of the Chapeau les filles! competition.

Nancy won a $500 bursary in the construction category as part of this competition, which recognizes perseverance and competence in nontraditional trades. Competitors came from both vocational and technical programs from the five island school boards and CEGEPS.

We are proud of our Nancy and wish her well as she goes on to the next level of competition.
