Electricity

The Electricity Program at the Pearson Electrotechnology Centre will prepare students to work in a variety of workplaces.

The course is approximately 16 months (1800 hours). Students who complete the program will receive a Diplôme d'Études Professionnelles (DEP). The centre prides itself on providing students with hands on learning, state of the art technologies and tools and high safety standards.

Careers available upon graduation from the Electricity Program:

  • electrician
  • industrial electrician
  • electric network electrician

The training will develop the necessary competencies to:

  • Install, repair, modify and maintain circuits, electrical systems, electronic systems and communications networks on machinery in buildings in the manufacturing, institutional and industrial sectors.

Possible workplaces:

  • prefab home manufacturers
  • building maintenance service companies
  • construction companies
  • renovation companies
  • manufacture/ industry
  • self employment

Fees

Tuition is free for Canadian citizens or landed immigrants with permanent residence in Quebec. A non-refundable application fee and about $900 for student fees, books and supplies are charged.
